Visa and Insurance

Study Permit
Students who are planning to study for more than 6 months must apply for Study Permit. This must be done outside of Canada. The Authorization process takes from a few weeks to three months as it varies amongst countries.

  1. Check with the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in your country for latest application procedures.
  2. Complete your Eurocentres Canada Application Form and send it together with payment for your entire course or a minimum payment of $175.00 for the Enrollment Application Processing Fee, plus an initial $200.00 refundable* deposit to Eurocentres Canada head office in Vancouver at least three months prior to your intended starting date. (Students from certain countries may be required to make full payment.)
  3. Eurocentres Canada will send you a Letter of Acceptance. Immediately present this letter and the following documents to the Canadian Embassy or Consulate to apply for Study Permit:
    • A valid passport
    • Proof of sufficient funds to cover your school fees or a receipt if you paid in advance
    • Proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses and an air-ticket
    • A medical examination (required for some countries)
    • Your completed Canada Study Permit Application Form, and any other documents specified by Immigration Canada

Visitor's Visa
Students planning to study in Eurocentres Canada as a full time or part time ESL student for up to six months may do so, on a Visitor's Visa. (Note that only citizens from certain countries can be granted Visitor's Visa for up to 6 months at the port of entry into Canada).

  1. Complete your Eurocentres Canada Application Form and send it to Eurocentres Canada head office together with payment for your entire course fee at least 30 days prior to your intended arrival date.

Working Holiday Visa
Students from countries participating in the Working Holiday Visa System are eligible to study in Canada in a full time or part time ESL program at Eurocentres Canada for up to six months. Application for Working Holiday Visas can be made at Canadian Embassy or Consulate in participating countries.

  1. Complete your Eurocentres Canada Application Form and send it to Eurocentres Canada head office together with payment for your entire course fee at least 30 days prior to your intended arrival date.

Study Permit Extensions
Visit the C.I.C. website for information. 

Parental / Legal Guardian Consent Form
Required for students under 19 years of age (18 years if attending Toronto school). A signed Parental / Legal Guardian Consent Form is required for all students under the age of 18 years. This form must be sent together with the Eurocentres Canada Application Form.

Medical Insurance
All students studying in any Eurocentres Canada program must have adequate medical coverage for their study period. Medical insurance is available through Eurocentres Canada.

United States Visas
Students wishing to travel to the United States should obtain the necessary visa prior to their arrival in Canada. Information on entry requirements for the United States can be obtained from the US Embassy or Consulate in your country.
